New survey reveals saints and sinners

A recent survey conducted by twosteps online job board, to over 500 lawyers and legal professionals, has revealed who hasn't got time for holidays because of their commitment to working 24/7, and those who are too busy shopping online at work for the latest Prada handbag.

With iPhones, BlackBerrys and other smartphones rapidly taking over the world and probably our minds, it probably won't surprise most to learn that over 50% of survey participants confessed that they'd be helpless without their iPhones and Blackberries. Most people are losing the art of remembering telephone numbers, or what they have to do that day or where they have to be. We now live vicariously through these mini life-organising computers.

A quarter of people were happy to do their online shopping whilst at work. Then again, with online shopping driving retail prices down it is hard to resist the temptation to bag some online bargains. With a few clicks of a button you've got a brand new outfit on the way to you. However, thanks to the majority of shops delivering Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm they'll probably get it delivered to work too!

The survey also revealed that whilst most of us were stuffing our faces with turkey, drinking too much wine and playing on the Wii, almost half of the survey participants were checking work emails on Christmas day, Bah Humbug! Maybe they were checking how many people knew about their embarrassing antics at the Christmas party because the survey also revealed that 1 in 8 people had done something they regretted at a work's party, 70% of these people were male, we'll leave you to draw any conclusions from that.
