Continuing Learning and Education (CLE)

We have an established CLE program and committee, which provides regular in-house sessions on emerging areas of law, new legal developments and technical updates, as well as refresher courses in key areas of practice. 

Our partners and solicitors are encouraged to share their advice and experience on different legal issues. We also invite external speakers to share their views on key topics affecting our clients, industry sectors or areas of practice. Specialist training is provided to meet the professional needs of individuals and practice groups.

Secondment Opportunities

Secondment to a client or organisation associated with our firm can be a valuable personal and professional development opportunity. Herbert Geer supports staff who are interested in in-house secondments, as well as those interested in moving interstate to another Herbert Geer office.

Information Technology

We recognise that information technology is an essential tool in running a competitive and efficient legal practice. You will have access to quality computer equipment at your desk and when you are working away from the office. Our IT help desk and training staff are available to assist and support. 

Business Development

Herbert Geer's marketing team provides in-house support to partners, practitioners and support staff in marketing, corporate communications and business development. In particular, our marketing team can assist with:

  • business development strategic planning
  • practice unit development
  • individual development
  • senior practitioners program
