Employment Law 2010 review: Another year over...

Another eventful year (nearly) over. An election year saw the old Labour Government frantically pushing through final pieces of legislation in its dying days. What would be the employment implications of the new Coalition Government? Will the provisions of the Equality Act 2010 actually be brought into force and when? Will the default retirement age be abolished? What about the draft Agency Workers and Additional Paternity Leave regulations?

The tribunals and courts too have had another busy year in the world of employment law. In part 1, Wragge & Co's Employment team takes a light-hearted look back at the highlights of 2010. Later, in part 2, we will be looking forward to the anticipated trends for 2011.
